Stories of Success in HIV is a unique CME/CE-certified audio/slide presentation that will address topics such as providing culturally-competent care and implementing innovations to optimize HIV screening, treatment, and adherence as demonstrated by successful programs from across the country.

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of health care providers who care for patients with HIV, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.

After completing this activity, participants will be better able to:

  • Describe the disproportionate impact that HIV has had in communities of color
  • Evaluate successful approaches in screening and linkage to care in communities of color
  • Outline how to implement strategies for screening and linkage to care in their own clinical practices
  • Discuss how the cultural and socioeconomic status of minority patients impacts their access to HIV testing and access to care
