Program Overview

This 2-hour, video slide show, CHB Squares: Face-Off with Hepatitis B Experts at Clinical Decision Points, will utilize case presentations to review the clinical data influencing management of patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Presentations will highlight optimal treatment strategies based on current professional guidelines, as well as recent clinical data and expert insights. In addition, these presentations will identify strategies to prevent and/or manage antiviral resistance, and provide strategies to monitor and treat persons with CHB and liver disease.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for hepatologists and gastroenterologists who treat patients with chronic hepatitis B.

Educational Objectives

Upon completing this program, participants will be better able to:

  • Describe how the AASLD guidelines for treating and monitoring persons for CHB can be incorporated into routine clinical practice
  • Select treatment strategies for persons with CHB based on an understanding of the AASLD guidelines
  • Identify strategies to prevent and/or manage antiviral resistance in the long-term management of patients with CHB
  • Explain how to monitor and treat persons with CHB and liver disease to prevent further disease progression
